Winter Layers Plus a Sale

Here is another Pink Blush outfit post because it's the last day for their extra 25% off sale! I knew the sweater was going to be a bit on the shorter side of things when I ordered it, so I thought I would just pair it with a high waisted jeans. When I was putting my outfit together I decided to layer it over a longer top! I love how it turned out. I'm now looking for the perfect (on the longer side) button down dress shirt to pair under it. I think it would be an easy way to dress up this sweater for work. And it's kind of hard to tell in these pictures, but the sweater has gold strings weaved in and out of it. It's GORGEOUS. Also-I LOVE the Pink Blush jeans. They fit true to size and they have a bit of a stretch to them so they're easier to move around in. Basically Pink Blush has such a great line of clothing.

Hurry and go shop their sale before it's over! xox

Snow Flakes

Photography: Lindsay Teter
Sweater: c/o Pink Blush
Leggings: c/o Pink Blush
Boots: Nordstrom
Watch: Arvo

We are back to blogging after a nice holiday break! We hope everyone had a lovely Christmas filled with friends and family.

Okay-first of all, if you haven't shopped at Pink Blush you are missing out! I got this sweater and leggings from them, and I can't stop wearing them. The leggings are fleece lined so they keep me extra warm when it's cold out. I felt like the sweater was appropriate for today because the snow is coming down right outside my window. Right now Pink Blush is having an additional 25% off sale! And you guys know how much we love a good sale. I'm thinking about getting THESE zipper leggings, THIS poncho, THIS bag, and THIS sequin pocket top! My Christmas money is obviously burning a hole right through my pocket ;)

The thing I love most about Pink Blush though is that they take care of their customers. My tracking number said that my items had been delivered to Arkansas (not even close to Utah), and I was having a slight panic attack. I emailed them and they got right on the issue and found out that I had been sent the wrong number by mistake. They sent over the correct number, and my items were on my porch that afternoon. Plus Pink Blush is always having a good sale. I check their Instagram and Facebook daily to make sure I'm not missing out on a good deal or a fun giveaway.

Thanks for stopping by! xox

Winter Layers

Sweater: J.Crew
Gingham Shirt: J.Crew
Booties: Target (old)
Watch: Arvo
Bracelet: Alex & Ani
Purse: Coach

I love when it's cold enough outside to layer! I think it can look very polished and put together instead of lugging around a massive snow coat (and yes I've had to do that before). I love that Marsala is the Pantone Color of the Year because these pants are so heavenly that I want to wear them with everything. I loved pairing it with my navy gingham shirt and gray sweater. The color compliment each other so well, and they are the perfect winter colors.

So side note: My husband just finished his finals for the semester! We went to celebrate last night by going and seeing Mockingjay part 1. We finished our large bucket of popcorn before the movie even started (we hadn't eaten dinner yet), and then I was too into the movie to go get a refill. BUT I hate sitting through movies without something to do, and so the WHOLE movie I just thought about how long it would take me to walk down the stairs, go get a refill, and then come back. I kept thinking that it would be too long and that I would miss an important part of the movie. And I probably would have, so I'm glad I didn't go get a refill. At least that's what I keep telling myself as I now sit here craving more movie theater popcorn.

Buffalo Check

Leather Pants: Agnes & Dora
Booties: Target (old)
Necklace: Bauble Bar
Watch: Arvo

WHY did I wait so long to order this shirt?!?! WHY!?!?!?! I absolutely love it. It's long and really soft and I could wear it 24/7 and be totally fine with life. Okay, maybe not that long but guys-it's amazing. I loved wearing it with leather leggings because I felt like my outfit was a little more edgy than what I typically wear, and sometimes I like a little bit of change in my life.

My parents get here in 9 days and I'm kind of freaking out because I'm really excited and also really behind on Christmas shopping! I'm having a really hard time shopping for my husband because he has everything that he really wants (besides really big ticket items like a snowmobile) and he always hates getting clothing/shoes as gifts. I've already gifted him a nice watch before, and gift cards aren't very exciting. SO! If you have ANY brilliant ideas for what I should give him please let me know. I really need help!

Thanks for stopping by and supporting my little creative outlet. xox

Holiday Poncho

Poncho: Zara (old)
Tee: Target
Leggings: c/o Agnes and Dora
Boots: Nordstrom
Watch: Arvo
Bracelet: Alex and Ani

I bought this poncho from a blogger's closet sale, and I was a little hesitant at first because I had never owned a fashionable poncho (just the lovely rain ones that you wear to football games). Guys-I'm in love! I want more! And I'm wishing Zara still had this poncho in stock because it's perfect for the holiday season. I will be wearing this outfit to the family Christmas party (it's pretty low key casual), and for our church Christmas devotional I'll pair this poncho with a wool pencil skirt, tights, and some lovely black pumps. Once it starts getting cold again, I'll add a long sleeve shirt underneath. I feel like I could even pair it with some skinny jeans and I would still be in love. Do you guys love the poncho look for winter?

All of you Utah friends-what is the deal with the weather?! I'm not complaining because I hate being cold, but it definitely doesn't feel like December with this 60 degree weather! I'm hoping we at least have a white Christmas because my parents will be flying here from Oklahoma and we were hoping to do some snow activities. Do you have any fun Christmas plans?

Thanks for stopping by! xox

Burgundy Pants and a Gray Sweater

Photos by: Lindsay Teter
Hat: Tai Pan (old)
Gray Sweater: Mindy Mae's Market (Use code 'arrowsandapricots' for 10% off)
Boots: Nordstrom
Watch: Fossil (old)
Bracelet: Alex and Ani

Today I'm linking up over on The Fashion Canvas for the trend spin linkup! Make sure to stop on over and find some new blogs to follow!

So sad story about my sweater-I accidentally dried it in the wash and it shrunk! It use to be about 3 inches longer and it just shrunk right up on me. I guess that's what I get for forgetting that it was in the wash and not getting it out to dry. Other than it shrinking on me, this sweater is so comfortable. I was a little nervous to purchase it, but I'm so glad I did because it goes with everything. It's the perfect winter staple. It's not super thick, so you can wear a coat with it. I love thick sweaters, but I also need to wear a coat here in the winter because it gets so dang cold-and I'm not a cold weather type person. Put me on a beach please!

I hope you guys have a good Thanksgiving break! I will be enjoying time with my husband and his family. And don't forget-next week is Mindy Mae's Market big sale week! 20-60% off their clothing and you can always use our code 'arrowsandapricots' for an additional 10% off your order.

Stocking Stuffer Ideas

Stocking Stuffer

My parents always stuff our stockings with candy and gum and then one small present. These items are on my Christmas list that you can find on Pinterest, but I thought I would share some ideas for your Christmas list-or for friend gifts!

1. Alex and Ani bracelet
2. Mac lipstick
3. Rifle Paper Co phone case
4. Fujifilm polaroid camera
5. Neon beanie from American Eagle

I know it's lame that I have my Christmas list on Pinterest. Every year though family asks "what do you want for Christmas?!" and I honestly have no idea and I always draw blanks. It's nice to just pin what you want on a Pinterest board so that way people can shop from there. Do you guys pin your Christmas wish list on a separate Pinterest board?

Notes and Knots

Headband: c/o Notes and Knots
Vest: Brickyard Buffalo (old)-follow them on Instagram to find out when they restock!
Sweater: Target (old)
Leggings: c/o Agnes and Dora
Booties: Target (old)
Watch: Arvo

Last Saturday I got the opportunity to model for Notes and Knots! It was so cold outside, but it was worth it to work with such an amazing company. They have the cutest headbands, and they are able to customize them for you (even better). I'm wearing the cabin fever headband, but I also have my eye on the lumber jane headband which is a black and red buffalo check pattern. If you have a little girl, make sure to check out their headbands and leggings because they are to die for. It makes me want a girl so bad so I can dress her up in them! The little girl I was modeling with was so nervous to get her picture taken so I talked to her about kitties and glitter and even danced for her to try and get her to laugh. She was happy to walk with me though-I'm glad Sam was able to snap a picture of us together :)

Ali and Kati (the owners of Notes and Knots) are so kind and such great ladies to work with. I'm so glad they let me be a part of their holiday shoot. Make sure you check out their website and get some stocking stuffers and friend gifts for Christmas!

And a side note funny story-I noticed in the email that they sent out the group email to a girl named Katelyn, and I recognized her full name but I couldn't remember how I knew her. Come to find out, I followed her photographer and had used her wedding as some of my wedding inspiration! She is the sweetest girl you will ever meet, and we instantly became friends. You can't even tell that we didn't know each other before in these pictures. Yay for social media right?!

Herringbone Vest

Photos by: Lindsay Teter
Vest: J.Crew (similar--use code 'arrowsandapricots' for an additional 10% off your purchase)
Button Up: H&M (old)
Leggings: c/o Agnes and Dora
Boots: J.Crew
Watch: Arvo

I ordered this vest back in July for an "early birthday" present, until I found out the expected shipping date was November 28th-my birthday is in September. Since July, I have been on the phone with customer support multiple times because I would see that the vest was in stock online. They would say "yes we are sending you one right now" and then call back a few minutes later saying it was already sold by the time they put in the information. I FINALLY got the vest last Thursday, and oh my gosh I am in LOVE. They must run a bit big because I bought a small, and it's a bit too loose for me. It will be better when I layer it with chunkier things this winter, but for my little button up shirt it's kind of big. And I guess I like putting my right hand in my pocket a lot? Haha! If you want a similar vest, but don't want to pay the price-Mindy Mae's Market has one AND you can always use our brand rep code 'arrowsandapricots' for 10% off your order.

I hope you guys have a great Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by. xox
