Burgundy Pants and a Gray Sweater

Photos by: Lindsay Teter
Hat: Tai Pan (old)
Gray Sweater: Mindy Mae's Market (Use code 'arrowsandapricots' for 10% off)
Boots: Nordstrom
Watch: Fossil (old)
Bracelet: Alex and Ani

Today I'm linking up over on The Fashion Canvas for the trend spin linkup! Make sure to stop on over and find some new blogs to follow!

So sad story about my sweater-I accidentally dried it in the wash and it shrunk! It use to be about 3 inches longer and it just shrunk right up on me. I guess that's what I get for forgetting that it was in the wash and not getting it out to dry. Other than it shrinking on me, this sweater is so comfortable. I was a little nervous to purchase it, but I'm so glad I did because it goes with everything. It's the perfect winter staple. It's not super thick, so you can wear a coat with it. I love thick sweaters, but I also need to wear a coat here in the winter because it gets so dang cold-and I'm not a cold weather type person. Put me on a beach please!

I hope you guys have a good Thanksgiving break! I will be enjoying time with my husband and his family. And don't forget-next week is Mindy Mae's Market big sale week! 20-60% off their clothing and you can always use our code 'arrowsandapricots' for an additional 10% off your order.

Stocking Stuffer Ideas

Stocking Stuffer

My parents always stuff our stockings with candy and gum and then one small present. These items are on my Christmas list that you can find on Pinterest, but I thought I would share some ideas for your Christmas list-or for friend gifts!

1. Alex and Ani bracelet
2. Mac lipstick
3. Rifle Paper Co phone case
4. Fujifilm polaroid camera
5. Neon beanie from American Eagle

I know it's lame that I have my Christmas list on Pinterest. Every year though family asks "what do you want for Christmas?!" and I honestly have no idea and I always draw blanks. It's nice to just pin what you want on a Pinterest board so that way people can shop from there. Do you guys pin your Christmas wish list on a separate Pinterest board?

Notes and Knots

Headband: c/o Notes and Knots
Vest: Brickyard Buffalo (old)-follow them on Instagram to find out when they restock!
Sweater: Target (old)
Leggings: c/o Agnes and Dora
Booties: Target (old)
Watch: Arvo

Last Saturday I got the opportunity to model for Notes and Knots! It was so cold outside, but it was worth it to work with such an amazing company. They have the cutest headbands, and they are able to customize them for you (even better). I'm wearing the cabin fever headband, but I also have my eye on the lumber jane headband which is a black and red buffalo check pattern. If you have a little girl, make sure to check out their headbands and leggings because they are to die for. It makes me want a girl so bad so I can dress her up in them! The little girl I was modeling with was so nervous to get her picture taken so I talked to her about kitties and glitter and even danced for her to try and get her to laugh. She was happy to walk with me though-I'm glad Sam was able to snap a picture of us together :)

Ali and Kati (the owners of Notes and Knots) are so kind and such great ladies to work with. I'm so glad they let me be a part of their holiday shoot. Make sure you check out their website and get some stocking stuffers and friend gifts for Christmas!

And a side note funny story-I noticed in the email that they sent out the group email to a girl named Katelyn, and I recognized her full name but I couldn't remember how I knew her. Come to find out, I followed her photographer and had used her wedding as some of my wedding inspiration! She is the sweetest girl you will ever meet, and we instantly became friends. You can't even tell that we didn't know each other before in these pictures. Yay for social media right?!

Herringbone Vest

Photos by: Lindsay Teter
Vest: J.Crew (similar--use code 'arrowsandapricots' for an additional 10% off your purchase)
Button Up: H&M (old)
Leggings: c/o Agnes and Dora
Boots: J.Crew
Watch: Arvo

I ordered this vest back in July for an "early birthday" present, until I found out the expected shipping date was November 28th-my birthday is in September. Since July, I have been on the phone with customer support multiple times because I would see that the vest was in stock online. They would say "yes we are sending you one right now" and then call back a few minutes later saying it was already sold by the time they put in the information. I FINALLY got the vest last Thursday, and oh my gosh I am in LOVE. They must run a bit big because I bought a small, and it's a bit too loose for me. It will be better when I layer it with chunkier things this winter, but for my little button up shirt it's kind of big. And I guess I like putting my right hand in my pocket a lot? Haha! If you want a similar vest, but don't want to pay the price-Mindy Mae's Market has one AND you can always use our brand rep code 'arrowsandapricots' for 10% off your order.

I hope you guys have a great Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by. xox

Gingham and Fur

Photos by: Lindsay Teter
Button Up: J.Crew
Booties: Target (old)
Hat: Target
Purse: Coach
Watch: Fossil (old)
Bracelet: Alex and Ani

My husband told me this weekend that whenever I get a new piece of clothing he can tell how much I like it because I try to wear it with everything. I started laughing because it's true! Every single piece in this outfit I have tried with a million other things. Especially the fur. Ever since I saw Sydney from the Daybook wearing fur, I knew I needed a fur vest. Now I have 2, and I wear them almost every day with every outfit I can think of.

I hope you guys had a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by. xox

If you don't have the Zara blanket scarf, RUN to Target and get the dupe! I wish the scarf was a little bit bigger, but overall I LOVE it! And the best part about it was that I got it on sale for $8 instead of $16. Sorry this post is a bit short-I have a HUGE work project that is due tomorrow that I'm frantically trying to get done. Thanks for reading! xo

Friday Favorites: Weekend Comfort

Comfot

Happy Friday everyone! This week flew by, and I'm kind of glad because I have a fun weekend ahead of me. We are headed up to the cabin for the weekend, so I wanted to talk about some weekend comfort clothes. Let's get real-we all know girls LOVE UGG boots because of how comfortable they are. They're not the best looking boot, but man oh man do they keep your feet warm. Perfect for cabin wear right? I love wearing oversized shirts and leggings too, especially when it's cold outside. I keep wanting to find the perfect oversized black and white striped shirt. The one here is from H&M, so hopefully the one by my house has it. What do you guys like to wear during a relaxing weekend?

Date Night

Photos by: Lindsay Teter
Top: J.Crew (old)
Jeans: American Eagle
Shoes: Charming Charlies
Jewelry: Taylor Morgan Design
Purse: Coach (old)

When Riley and I were dating, we did a quick trip to Vegas with his family. We stopped off at the outlet mall to do some shopping, so of course we had to go into the J.Crew outlet! I saw this top and fell in love right away with the color. I went up to purchase it, and Riley quickly gave the cashier his credit card. I looked at him kind of shocked and said "I can pay for it!" And he told me "ya but I want to spoil you with something, and I know you love this shirt." What a keeper! I love wearing this shirt for date night, or nights out with friends because it's dressy but can still be more on the casual side when paired with a good skinny jean. Plus the color is to die for! I even wore it for my engagement pictures. Yes-I'm that obsessed. I'm kind of surprised that it has taken me this long to get an outfit post of it! I hope you guys have a great rest of your week, and as always-Thank you SO much for reading our blog. It means the world to us. xox
